What do you love about your friends?— question of the day at cafe gratitude at Venice beach

I was having brunch at cafe gratitude in Venice beach the other day, and my server Nathan asked if I’d like to hear the question of the day and I said yes!

He then goes: what do you love about your friends ?

What do I love about my friends ? … 🤔 hmmm

I guess I have only told them a few times how I love them. That’s a good question, and it made me want to reach out to all my friends and tell them !

Well, here’s my answer :

I love

How they are themselves unapologetically.

They inspire me to be a stronger human and a better friend.

They share their time, space and food with me.

They teach me that mistakes and failures are okay.
They remind me to be silly and laughing out loud.
They are beautiful beings navigating through this world courageously.

They see me as a friend and feel safe being around me.
